I'm drawn to Wabi-Sabi as an invaluable discipline for the opportunity it gives us to recognize time and nature as artists. It prompts an exercise in accepting the natural deterioration of objects: a deterioration that only time and weather conditions can accomplish, without the forced hand of human intervention.
Wabi-Sabi recognizes that nothing lasts, nothing is ever complete and nothing is perfect. It's Evolution with a capital E.
Here I present a handful of images I've taken over the years that, for me in each of these moments, attempted to capture this spirit of impermanence.
